Normally girls use to ignore guests and guys with no credit. However, the guest or the “poor” guy can be your future client.

I give you an example. I used to be a guest on MyFreeCams, then after a friend tell more things about this camsite, I decided to create a free account. When I did it, I thought that I would never spend money there. Most of the girls were already working on other camsites where I had credit, so why spend money there?

For one week I visited a girl (Calicat) and even I being a member with no credit, she was very nice with me. What happened? One week after creating my free account, I was buying my first tokens to spend with Calicat. Something that one week early I was sure I wouldn’t do.

If she had ignored me or treated me as just another basic member with no credit, I’m sure I would have never spend money on her. Eventually I would buy tokens, but for sure it wouldn’t be spent on her.

Being a nice girl made her bring a new buyer to MFC and a new customer to her. After that private show I also tipped her few times.

    I used to do that .... and I like talking to guests and basics but premium members get pissed off because they tip and they don't wanna see guests and basics talking and enjoying. So now i talk to them only when i am too tired or leaving .. usually when premium members are not tipping or talking.

    The girl needs to be able to figure out who is a guest/basic that may become a premium and who is a guest/basic that will never buy tokens. Guys... - ... asking/begging you too much; - ... asking premiums to tip; - ... promising to tip when they never bought tokens; These are examples of members who probably will never spend money on sites. But there are premiums who are also as "worthless" as a guests. Premiums who spent $20 once and now jump from room to room as they had $2,000.

    Angelserena seems to be striking a good balance particularly for the MFC environment. Talking to guests and basics about things that may be of interest to all is ok but muting guests and basics can be necessary if there are many premiums in the room. Premiums have to accept that if they are tipping for requests in public chat then that is their choice and guests and basics get a free ride. If premiums want exclusive access they have to be prepared to pay for it. The same applies to tipping in Livejasmin except performers can be penalised for bending the rules in exchange for tips. Other sites with lower rates for private dont suffer the same problems. Having said all that the original advice to treat guests as potential customers whenever possible is sound advice. Treat your room as a place of business greating as many visitors as possible cheerfully - even saying something like "I'm happy to see all you guys here." or "Everyone is welcome!" For MFC these are probably better topics than putting up a pricelist. Some MFC models have themes or promotions and ImLive runs themed competitions for all models to participate in. Once again Livejasmin is the least creative and prefers to extract tokens from top members for the dubious priviladge of knowing a performer's schedule, joining her fan club (if she can maintain one) and rating her for the monthly cash prizes. Returning to the topic (of treating visitors as customers) one of the most effective ways of gaining repeat business is simple thank you messages followed by occasional invitations to revisit (depending on the relationship it may be better not to ask for more private at the same time).

    What's the scam exactly? How do you not know that you have to pay for their services? And please explain how they're gold-diggers and money hungry? When was the last time YOU worked for free? Get over it. No camgirls don't REALLY care about you. If you want a girl who really cares about you and doesn't care about your money, stop being such a fucking loser and find a girl in real life.

    Do not think OP knows what he talk about. Yeah it is nice to be greeted and talked to but.... You cant possibly expect that girl who is working will spend any considerable amount of time with guest with only slight chance of being paid in future. IOU is maybe good in finance sector but here only money counts. Another thing is that there are so many of guests and basics who are out there wishing to talk with nice young girls that if she will talk to one she may lose another 50 potential IOU future clients. Thing is that clients are looking for something. But many times they just want to spend some free time so potential IOU who likes blond girls may talk with red haired but he will never tip her because she talked to him nicely few times. Imagine yourself having car dealership. You are nice to every person who walk thru door. Anybody is potential client. They will get nice greeting, small pitch chat and that is about it. If salesman see real interest he may offer you free ride. In fact many members or basics or guests already got shizload of free rides yet models are still expected to give them another one? Nah... If there will be the same persons coming to your dealership everyday telling you that your cars are the best you are going to see them as pain in the ass eventually as you are going to lose real potential clients wasting time with these IOU future contracts. If OP is serious about this then I will suggest cam sites to pay models for time spent online be it talking with basics or guests, entertaining them - getting those IOU`s to join and spend. If that happens not only model will make money but cam site too. Why not to give them something per hour, I can guarantee they will be more smiling as they will be making few bobs just by talking. Remember it is just a job and not a mission. They are making money yes, but you have chance to see and talk with a woman you dream about. And if she is not the one from your dream then move to next room as you waste not only your time but her time too. Who like to work for free? In case somebody dont know what IOU is then try to google that term but in fact it mean I Owe You - a future promise. :)

    its true everyone is a "potential" tipper - However, we have to take into consideration that behind every screen name there is a real person with feelings and personalities. We dont know the reasons why a guest doesnt become a basic or why a basic doesnt become a premium. But it would be foolish not to recognize and appreciate what those whom may not be able to tip still bring to the mojo of your room. When the vibe in the room begins to get uneasy - it is just as often a guest or a basic member that comes to the rescue with a joke or song request that totally changes the mood. I am not a top twenty model but I do well, I have a group of regulars that take good care of me, I am sure anyone one of them would agree that there is a presence in my room - Its not me lol trust me -- im a dork -- but rather the energy of those whom chose to hang in my room. When others feel that they may be inclined to stay longer and see that u r someone they would like to show gratitude to - and tip - the more people in your room suggest popularity -- your job is to be worthy of your admirers

    Something that has happened to me a time or two ... ... I take a model private for usually between 500 and 1000 tokens. Later on, she's happy to give 150 guys a free show, because 2 or 3 others are tipping maybe 50 each. Makes me wonder if it's worth going private ... I should just wait like all the other guys. So girls, you owe it to good tippers NOT to give cheap shows.

    Sometimes i feel bad for the girls as I know I have no money but it doesn't make me want to watch less. It is hard because girls can encourage me to spend money I shouldn't then while I rebalance my finances they don't get much. Most girls understand that viewers are not an endless stream of money but if I was in their position i guess I would bleed me dry too.

    I disagree with Crystal - what's legit, anyway? - fact is, they are working hard for small rewards, with no gauranteed minimum wage. I'm happy to tip for a flash, towards a target, or sometimes simply to thank them for a 15 min fun converstaion, or to wish a new member 'good luck'. I don't give huge amounts, as I'm not rich (and need to buy beer and cigarettes!), but I try to be fair. I don't like working for free, and I don't want anyone else to have to because of me.

    What exactly is your definition of "legit camgirl" ? Its no secret the camgirls perform and the guys tip or spend in pvt or group if THEY want the entertainment. They 'take' nothing, they are tipped and the guys 'spend' if they choose.

    After reading so many controversial anwers it could be infered that it exits both girls working only for money and girls who do not think its all about money. As to the latter, I provide with an example: one day I started do chat with a girl and subject turned to "things she could have improved in profile to attract more people". I was talking commercially. But when I just mentioned the word "client", she got so offended, that I dont ever remember how we had controlled damages. It is so like people, human being, thinking differently. There are also differences considering the region of the girl, eastern girls, american girls. But what the text refers to is not this issue of wheter they are llegit camgirl. The text only makes reference to take advantage of a situation (chat) and do it right at work. And, on the contrary, it also has the purpose of alerting members of a real situation - by talking or not talking irrespective of the status of the user, users can know better to whom they are talking and dealing with. I would suggest you to write about how to avoid being deceived by a camgirl and how to better use the sites. Because, for example, you tip at your own risk - I refer to MFc, users should be careful before tipping, otherwise what you are expecting may not be delivered - if hapens frequently as regards videos to sell. They are expensive and some of them just dont delivery, care or even reply to you. Other thing. always see her profile and read comments by other users - because a girl cannot exclude a comment posted at her wall - sometimes there are important warnings there (If the girl had decided not to have a wall of comments at her profile, be much more careful, it is a not a good sign). It could be interesting to check on and off, according to your time, the option about not seeing the numbers of tokens you have - this way if its on, the girl will not know how many tokens you have. Ignoring and blocking optiion was commented in other room here. If you dont want her to know you are in room, click on her right button and appears menu iand go see her in lounge. As said here, take a time to observ the girl or you may find in a situation where you enter in a PVT soon and, at the end of her work, she gives in public the very same show to which you had paid. Send a private message before any tipping and other importance of this comment above, if she replies it could be ok, I suspect some of the appearances are recorded. Before a PVT, agree with the girl all you like in a private show and keep on asking if she does like that; i.e., front, back, nude only, playing hot, face, her voice (or background music sound) - that does not only reinforce a "deal" but I also have seen the majority of the girls going crazy discussing your preferences and desiring more and more a potential private show with you. In menu option theres also the numbers of member in her room - experienced and popular girls have their room crowded, be advised no chat, probably. These experienced models usually do not talk to you. But if you wanna talk or ask something, new models are great. Find new models in lounge and opt for seeing new models only. The problem with new girls is that, although you may find someone interesting to you, note that great part of them are working in a studio (while some work at home) - and the girl is much more comfortable if she is at home, obviously. And worse, some girls have a sort of "boss", an intermediary, a broker, who take cares only about his or her interests, not thinking on you and on the girl, damaging, sometimes, the interaction. As to the latter, I have writen to MFC to ask "what does this boss or broker have to do in the commercial agreement between I and MFC which object is having a live webcam to chat and or see?" Administrators did not respond and I guess they wont. As said at the end of first paragraph, this post both serves as advices both to girl and users.     ummm...i am a model on MFC...i used to have guests and basics unmuted...chat with them....blabla. The problem is that a lot of basics are really rude and ruin my mood...i can offrd my self to have them un-muted for like 30-60min per day before they take me down. Not to mention that premiums get snoyed too and i lost some of my biggest tippers only bc of this.
